Kayla Kruger, PT, DPT
Kayla joined the ProActive Physical Therapy team in April 2016. She grew up on a farm outside of Ocheyedan, Iowa and now lives in Sibley, Iowa with her husband, Kyle. She graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to graduate school, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Winona State University. Kayla grew up as a competitive gymnast which led to numerous rehabilitative experiences and set the basis for her interest in musculoskeletal dysfunction. Kayla enjoys helping patients’ achieve their highest level of function through physical therapy. Outside of the clinic, Kayla enjoys spending time with family and raising her daughter. Kayla teaches dance and tumbling classes to kids ages 3-18 throughout the week. Kayla also enjoys remaining active with running, biking, and group workout activities.
Q: What makes you excited to jump out of bed and head to work each day?
I look forward to meeting new patients’ and helping them achieve life goals at work each day. I enjoy evaluation of deficits to develop a patient-specific plan of care as a foundation of our care at ProActive. I enjoy the variety of patient conditions and stages of life we have the opportunity to examine and provide treatment each day.
Q: What would you like each patient to leave with after their experience at ProActive?
I would like each patient to leave with a good understanding of their current condition, an individualized home program, and to feel confident they have been treated with the highest quality physical therapy care.
Q: What do you enjoy in your free time?
I enjoy remaining active with running, biking, and group workout activities; teaching dance/tumbling classes to ages 3-18; spending time with family and friends.
