Julie Arends

Julie is originally from Hull, IA and currently resides in Sioux Center, IA with her husband. Julie has 3 kids and a dog, Ruby. Julie received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern College and her Masters of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University. She later received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Julie is an owner of ProActive Physical Therapy since opening their doors in 2007. Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with friends and family, going for walks, golfing, and traveling.
Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
“I decided to become a Physical Therapist after having back surgery in Junior High for scoliosis. While hospitalized for 2 weeks, I thought the impact they made was extremely significant and something I would enjoy. I continued to explore the profession in high school and college and realized Physical Therapists have a great opportunity to restore patients’ health along with developing relationships with their patients”
